The roots of dance therapy can be traced to earliest human history, when disease was seen as a loss of soul and dance was an intrinsic part of the healing ritual.

We know intuitively that movement and dance can heal but we don’t often take the time to deeply listen and connect with our bodies.

Movement medicine is a dance practice to liberate and develop interoception, the sense that helps you understand and feel what’s going on inside your body.

If you can move, you can dance.

 Join us with David Mooney to explore your dance and move to heal.

David is a practicing psychotherapist and member of the Faculty of the international School of Movement Medicine. He has been teaching embodiment and dance for 15 years and teaches in 14 countries across Europe.

Move your DNA with Jeanette Loram

Movement like food is not optional. However, a lot of us are movement hungry. In this workshop with Jeannette we will explore what movements you may be missing and how that might be impacting your health. 

Jeannette Loram PhD, (RES-CPT) is a biologist and movement teacher. Her academic work focuses on understanding and teaching the cellular consequences of being sedentary. As a movement teacher her aim is to help people to move more by teaching them how to move well.

Jeannette is a Nutritious Movement®-certified Restorative Exercise Specialist and one of 35 teachers chosen worldwide to teach workshops based on the ground-breaking book Move Your DNA: Restore Your Health Through Natural Movement”by Katy Bowman. In this taster workshop, Jeannette will guide us through some of the foundational exercises from the book as well as present lifestyle tips that can bring more movement into your everyday life.
